The annual "World Voice Day" takes place on April 16. This day was initiated in 1999 by ENT physicians, head neck and throat surgeons and speech therapists in order to draw attention to the extremely complex system of the human voice - but also to the diseases by which the human vocal organ may be affected.
Radiotherapy often forms an elementary part of tumour treatment. However, as important as this measure is, it is usually preceded by various fears and concerns on the part of those affected. Many patients may have already heard of negative experiences and unpleasant side effects of radiotherapy in their personal surroundings.
In a representative survey, Konso, Institut für Konsumenten- & Sozialanalysen AG, found that the Swiss describe themselves as being reserved, tidy and friendly. In conversation with our Switzerland expert and field representative Andreas Faller, these results could be confirmed absolutely.
