  • Tracheostoma placeholder for insertion into the tracheostoma, to secure the tracheostoma and at the same time to protect the sensitive tracheal mucosa as much as possible by minimising the contact surface.
  • Made from soft, medical-grade silicone:
    • Length: 74 mm 
    • Inner diameter: 8 mm
    • Outer diameter: 11 mm
  • Consists of a cannula tube that merges into an elongated half-tube at the lower end of the cannula, which is adapted to the trachea and moulds itself anatomically to the trachea
  • For the most physiological breathing possible with the largest possible lumen in the trachea
  • Cannula shield with two lateral openings for attaching a cannula support band
  • The adjustable shield can be used to adjust the placeholder to the length of the tracheostomy tube and fix it in place.
  • A removable sealing plug is attached to the upper (distal) end of the placeholder. This allows the tracheostoma to be closed when weaning/decannulating the patient from the tracheostomy tube, e.g. after long-term ventilation
  • By removing the sealing plug, it is possible to aspirate tracheal secretions through the cannula tube
  • With enclosed insertion aid for secure placement in the tracheostoma
