- Decannulation is in many cases the therapy objective in the scope of treatment of patients with tracheostomy tube.
- If the patient is weaned gradually from the tracheostomy tube without any complications, decannulation, with the result of final closure of the tracheostoma, can be planned.
- Decannulation can be carried out if the primary cause for creating the tracheostoma no longer persists.
The set consists of a transparent and extremely thin base plate with excellent adhesive properties for optimal adaptation to the movements of the neck region. This can be used in combination with the FAHL® MULTI PLUG for weaning from the tracheostomy tube. Furthermore, the set includes a speaking valve with oxygen connection, which can be inserted into the base plate.
